It's an easy process: Seed loading the data to begin, then daily internet updates.
proven backup’s™ seed load and in-file delta technologies enable backup of a large volume of data to be completed in a very short period of time. The seed load feature allows backup of the large volume of data to a removable local hard drive. With our proprietary in-file delta technology, the original files are required to be backed up once, i.e. in the seed job (or day 1 backup job). Subsequently, only the changes made within the files since the previous backup are necessary to be updated.
For example, for a larger amount of data, e.g. 500GB, you seed load the full backup to a removable local hard drive and send to proven backup™ (the files are already encrypted at this point).
Typically, 1% of files change or are updated each day (eg., 5GB, of the original file size). Only the changed files are backed up again at the time you designated for your daily backups. This amount of data can easily be transmitted to proven backup™’s server via the Internet each day.
